Federal Trade Commission (FTC) - The FTC enforces a variety of U.S. federal antitrust and
consumer protection laws. The FTC's antitrust arm, the Bureau of Competition seeks to prevent business practices that restrain
competition - including monopolistic practices, attempts to monopolize, conspiracies in restraint of trade, and anticompetitive mergers and
acquisitions. The Commission's antitrust authority comes primarily from the Federal Trade Commission Act and the Clayton Act both passed by Congress in
