Canadian Historical Review (CHR) -
The CHR was launched in 1920 as a continuation of the Review of Historical Publications Relating to Canada, whose first volume appeared in 1897 and covered books published in 1896 and 1895. One of the earliest essays in the Review is a scathing reading of William Kingsford's The History of Canada, Volume VIII, documenting the fact that careless scholarship existed even in those days. Early CHR articles are equally interesting, with titles such as The Growth of Canadian National Feeling (W.S. Wallace) and A Plea for a Canadian National Library (Lawrence J. Burpee).

Historical Atlas of Canada - The Historical Atlas of Canada project published three volumes which explored major themes and episodes in the history of Canada using maps, text and graphics. Now, the Online Learning Project makes many of the maps and much of the research data created for the Atlas available online.
Historical Statistics of Canada - Jointly produced by the Social Science Federation of Canada and Statistics Canada in 1983. This volume contains about 1,088 statistical tables on the social, economic and institutional conditions of Canada from the start of Confederation in 1867 to the mid-1970s. The tables are arranged in sections with an introduction explaining the content of each section, the principal sources of data for each table, and general explanatory notes regarding the statistics. In most cases, there is sufficient description of the individual series to enable the reader to use them without consulting the numerous basic sources referenced in the publication.

United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) - A United Nations peacekeeping mission in Haiti that has been in operation since 2004. The mission's military component is led by the Brazilian Army and the force commander is Brazilian. MINUSTAH's mandate was most recently extended by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1944 past its October 15, 2010 deadline amid fears of instability. The mission's current mandate runs through October 15th, 2011 with the intention of further renewal. The force is composed of 8,940 military personnel and 3,711 police, supported by an international civilian personnel, a local civilian staff and United Nations volunteers. Critics of MINUSTAH's goal of providing security say that the provision of increased police presence is coming with the unfortunate consequence of neglecting the vast socioeconomic problems in the area, the lack of effort in addressing infrastructure improvement, the joblessness and the pervasive poverty.
