Chinese Immigrants Eary Arrivals to San Francisco and Hawaii: Case Files - Hundreds of thousands of people passed through immigration stations in San Francisco and Honolulu between 1882 and 1955. Nearly 250,000 of them are the subject of federal reports and records, including immigration investigation case files of people who tried to immigrate - some successfully, some not - during the period of the Chinese Exclusion Acts, 1882-1943.

Diversity Visa Lottery Program - Each year, 50,000 immigrant visas are made available through a lottery to people who come from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. None of these visas are available for people who come from countries that have sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the United States in the past five years. The State Department's National Visa Center holds the lottery every year, and chooses winners randomly from all qualified entries.

Enforcement and Removal Operations - A division of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) - U.S. agency targeting people, money and materials that support terrorist and criminal networks.
Additionally, in March 2008, ICE announced the initiation of the Secure Communities program. The critical element of the program (now called "Secure Communities: A Comprehensive Plan to Identify and Remove Criminal Aliens") is that, during booking in a jail, arrestees’ fingerprints will be checked against U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) databases, rather than just against FBI criminal databases. ICE will automatically be notified if the fingerprints match fingerprints in the DHS system. It will then do follow-up interviews and “take appropriate action.”

No More Deaths (No Mas Muertes) - No More Deaths volunteers have been working around the clock in Nogales to provide deported migrants with food, water, medical help and information. Border patrol vehicles and buses drop migrants off 24-hours a day - most in need of food and water and many requiring medical attention.
Office of Authentication, U.S. Department of State - Responsible for providing authentication service to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals on all documents that will be used overseas. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) - Created in 2003, through a merger of the investigative and interior enforcement elements of the U.S. Customs Service and the Immigration and Naturalization Service, ICE now has more than 20,000 employees in offices in all 50 states and 48 foreign countries.
