California Fair Political Practices Commission - A bi-partisan (and in practice, a non-partisan) independent body of five members which oversees a staff of 75 in administration, technical assistance, legal and enforcement divisions.
Also see Statements of Economic Interests (SEIs or Form 700s), "an important means for the official that files them, the media, and the public to help gauge where potential conflicts of interest may exist. These state mandated forms include information about the sources of an official's income, investments, business positions, real property holdings and gifts. Merely reporting an economic interest is not a conflict in itself; a conflict arises when an official governmental decision, made by the official, impacts their economic interests."

San Francisco Elections Department - Responsible for conducting all federal, state and local elections in the City and County of San Francisco. Serving a registered voter base of more than 450,000 citizens, the Department of Election manages approximately 560 polling places and more than 3,000 temporary pollworkers during each election. Voters can vote by Vote-By-Mail ballot or at the polls.
